Houston Blogger Meetup...

This last Saturday, Megan from the fabulous blog Honey We're Home organized and hosted a meet up for Houston area bloggers. I was so excited for the opportunity to meet other bloggers. I live in a smaller community (outside of Houston) and have never met another blogger, especially a décor/DIY/craft blogger at that! I knew that if I could meet, share tidbits and network with other bloggers, it would most certainly be a great experience and how right I was!

We met for the lunch at Escalantes near the Galleria in Houston.

15 Houston area bloggers attended the lunch and I was giddy to meet each and every one of them! I had been a reader of Megan’s blog Honey Were Home for a long time before I realized she was a Houston girl. I was especially looking forward to meeting her after following her blog for so long. Of course, Megan was just as sweet, kind and fabulous in person as she is on her blog and I just loved getting to visit with her.

I sat next to Décor Chick (Emily) and across from Elsa from Casa Greer, who both have gorgeous home décor/decorating blogs. We talked about our blogs, family, children and Twitter. I am slowly learning to Twitter, for some reason I just can’t seem to get it and sweet Emily had some great advice to help me tweeter along my merry way …

I also had the opportunity to meet and talk with Tiffanie from the blog Pineapple and Pickles. Ironically, Tiffani is originally from the same town where I live. Small world! We share many of the same friends and realized that we had actually met briefly many years ago. I loved my time with Tiffanie, we gabbed for a long time and I felt like I have known her forever!

After lunch, we all went shopping.

During our shopping adventure, I met and talked with Nancy from the beautiful blog Loves to Create and Kristen, a newer blogger who just started her blog called Fit2FeelBetter. I bent Kristen’s ear about all of my unhealthy eating and work out habits (sigh)… Kristen had some great advice and I look forward to getting to know her better and bending her ear some more about work out suggestions!

I am sad that I didn’t get to talk with everyone on Saturday, but I can't wait to spend time going through each of their blogs and getting to know them better. By the way, Megan has posted a fun recap of the meetup here with a list and link of all of the bloggers that attended if you're interested in checking out all of the fun blogs.

Thank you Megan so much for organizing and hosting our gathering, it was such a great experience! I look forward to our next get together, hopefully soon!

I have several projects ready for posting, so check back this week!

Cheers!
