Goodwill Dresser Revamp- Furniture Feature Friday- {Amanda Carol at Home}

I’m starting a new regular weekly feature that I’m calling Furniture Feature Friday. I love to refinish and update large pieces of furniture and am blown away by some of the latest refinishing, paint and glaze techniques being used around “Blogland” to revamp furniture. I am so in awe that I wanted to highlight these amazing transformations regularly on The Exchange to inspire us all. I also hope to post some of my furniture transformations this summer if I can find the time (sigh)...

To kick off the first feature, I wanted to share an incredible Goodwill dresser transformation done by Amanda Carol of the beautiful blog Amanda Carol at Home:

Amanda is a fellow Houston blogger that I met last week at the blogger meetup. Amanda picked up this dresser at Goodwill! Here is the before picture:

Amanda was inspired by a Restoration Hardware dresser and she nailed it! Here is the amazing after shots:

Wow!! I was just amazed when I saw Amanda's fabulous end result! Of course this transformation, just like any major furniture revamp took a lot of elbow grease. Amanda had to use two different furniture strippers, a lot of sanding, paint and glaze to transform this piece. It really is one of the best furniture transformations that I have ever seen, especially given that she picked up this hidden treasure at Goodwill!

Amanda did a fantastic job in detailing the dresser transformation on her beautiful blog here. Be sure and look around her blog as well as she has loads of wonderful decorating ideas. Thank you SOOO much Amanda for sharing this transformation, great job girl!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Cheers!
